Welcome to Azimuth Orion

What is Orion?

Tired of switching between Unreal Engine and your web browser to ask ChatGPT questions? Spending time describing Blueprint issues in text or pasting screenshots into external tools? Azimuth Orion brings AI assistance directly into your Unreal Editor.

Orion is an editor plugin that integrates with leading AI providers (xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) to give you instant help with Blueprint analysis and troubleshooting—all without leaving your workflow. Whether you need to understand a complex marketplace asset, debug a Blueprint graph, or get guidance on Blueprint logic, Orion is your AI assistant that understands Unreal Engine. It understands Blueprint structure, asset metadata, and project state—not just generic programming questions. You choose from xAI (Grok), OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude), or Google (Gemini) models based on your needs and budget. API keys are encrypted and stored locally, never in your project files or version control. Asynchronous operations mean no editor hitches while waiting for responses. Orion is integrated everywhere: chat window, Blueprint toolbar, Content Browser right-click menu. Vision-capable models can receive screenshots from any editor viewport for visual debugging.

Who is This For?

Azimuth Orion is designed for solo indie developers who want AI assistance without the overhead of managing external tools, small teams who need quick answers and Blueprint analysis without disrupting workflow, and anyone working in UE5.7 who wants to learn faster, debug smarter, and work more efficiently. No matter your experience level, Orion helps you work faster and learn as you go.

What this is Not For

Azimuth Orion facilitates accelerated development and learning by bridging the Project Context gap with leading AI models via API. It does not generate levels, 3D models, or your content. It will not try to build your blueprints or write over the wrong nodes. Orion was designed as a true assistant, not a replacement, and only writes to configuration files and (if enabled) within the local cache structure for facilitating your remote API sends.

What You'll Learn in This Guide

By the end of this guide, you'll know how to set up your AI provider API keys securely, ask questions and get instant answers in the chat window, analyze Blueprints using the graph toolbar or right-click menu, send screenshots to vision-capable models for visual debugging, understand any asset type using "Describe to Orion," configure Orion's modes and display preferences, and manage token costs while choosing the right model for each task. Let's get started.
